Description

2,5-Diethoxyterephthalohydrazide is derived from terephthalic acid, where two of the hydrogen atoms on the aromatic rings are replaced by ethoxy groups (-OEt). Additionally, it contains two hydrazide functional groups (-NH-NH-) attached to the terephthalic core. It can be used as a crosslinking agent in the synthesis of polymers and polymeric materials. The hydrazide functional groups can react with carboxylic acid groups in polymers or other compounds, forming covalent bonds and crosslinking the polymer chains.
