2DM-PTAA refers to a material composed of two-dimensional (2D) layers of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT) deposited on top of a polymeric layer called poly[(thiophene-2,5-diyl)-alt-(6,6′-bis(2-(2-methylhexan-2-yl)thiazolo[5,4-d]thiazole))] (PTAA). In organic solar cells, 2DM-PTAA can serve as an efficient hole transport layer (HTL) facilitating the extraction of photo-generated holes from the active layer to the electrode. This configuration can enhance device efficiency, stability, and overall performance by providing efficient charge transport pathways and reducing interfacial barriers.
