4ME 16:0 PC (DPhPC) or 1,2-diphytanoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine refers to a specific type of phosphatidylcholine (PC) lipid molecule. Diphytanoyl phosphatidylcholine does not exhibit a detectable gel to liquid crystalline phase transition from -120°C to +120°C. 4ME 16:0 PC has been used for the production of stable planar lipid membranes, the generation of Droplet-Hydrogel Bilayer (DHB) as well as the generation of lipid bilayers for single channel and ion selectivity measurements studies. This product is available in chloroform and powder.
