ACRL-PLA-PEG-ALK (Acrylate-Poly(L-lactide)-b-Poly(ethylene glycol)-Alkyne) is a copolymer with acrylate, polylactic acid, polyethylene glycol, and alkyl units. Polylactic acid (PLA) is a biodegradable polymer, and its incorporation into a copolymer can make it suitable for environmentally friendly applications, such as packaging or biomedical materials. In addition, the combination of polyethylene glycol (PEG) in copolymers is often used to enhance the biocompatibility and circulation time of drug delivery systems. The hydrophilic nature of PEG can provide stealth properties, reducing clearance by the immune system.
