Description

Ag−/Graphene Aerogel Composite combines the properties of both silver nanoparticles and graphene aerogel into a single material. The silver nanoparticles are dispersed throughout the graphene aerogel matrix, leading to enhanced conductivity, catalytic activity, and antimicrobial performance compared to either component alone. The graphene aerogel provides a stable and porous scaffold for supporting and immobilizing the silver nanoparticles, preventing their aggregation and maximizing their surface area exposure. Due to the antimicrobial properties of silver nanoparticles, the Ag−/graphene aerogel composite can be employed as a coating material for inhibiting microbial growth and preventing biofouling on surfaces. The composite’s high surface area and porous structure provide a large contact area for interactions with microbes, leading to enhanced antimicrobial efficacy and long-term durability.
