Description

Amine-PEG-Azide (NH2-PEG-N3) can be used to create dual-functional drug carriers, where one end of the molecule attaches to a drug or targeting moiety, while the other end is used for further functionalization or conjugation. In addition, the amine and azide groups can be used to modify the surface of nanoparticles, such as gold or silica nanoparticles, with PEG chains to improve their biocompatibility and reduce non-specific binding in biological environments. The azide group can also be used for further functionalization or attachment of targeting ligands.
