Description

BCN-PEG3-Biotin refers to a compound where biotin is linked to a BCN group through a three-unit PEG linker. This structure enables specific bioorthogonal chemistry, allowing the compound to selectively bind to and react with complementary molecules or surfaces in biological systems without interfering with native biochemical processes. BCN-PEG3-Biotin can be used for bioorthogonal labeling of biomolecules in live cells and organisms. The BCN group can react specifically with azide-functionalized molecules via the copper-free click chemistry reaction (strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition, SPAAC).
