Biotin-PEG-Biotin (Bio-PEG-Bio) refers to a molecule that contains two biotin moieties connected by a polyethylene glycol (PEG) linker. iotin, also known as vitamin B7 or vitamin H, is a small molecule that binds strongly to avidin and streptavidin proteins through non-covalent interactions. This biotin-streptavidin binding is one of the strongest known in nature and is widely exploited in biotechnological applications. Polyethylene glycol (PEG) is a hydrophilic polymer that is often used to link biomolecules together. It enhances water solubility and biocompatibility of the molecule, reduces immunogenicity, and can also modify pharmacokinetic properties.
