Description

Biotin-PEG2-Acid can be used to label proteins of interest within a complex biological sample. Once labeled, these proteins can be selectively precipitated or pulled down using streptavidin-coated beads or plates. This technique is valuable for studying protein-protein interactions and identifying binding partners. In proximity labeling techniques such as BioID (biotin identification), Biotin-PEG2-Acid can be fused to a protein of interest. Upon activation, biotinylated proteins within close proximity can be captured using streptavidin beads for subsequent mass spectrometry analysis. This approach allows for the identification of protein interaction networks and subcellular localization studies.
