Description

Biotin-PEG7-thiourea can be used to modify surfaces, such as nanoparticles, microarrays, or biosensor surfaces. The thiourea group can bind covalently to surfaces containing primary amines, such as amino-functionalized substrates, enabling the attachment of biotinylated molecules. Additionally, Biotin-PEG7-thiourea can be used to label proteins with biotin. The thiourea group can react selectively with primary amines (-NH2) present on the surface of proteins, allowing for site-specific biotinylation.
