Description

Boc-NH-PEG2-NH-Boc contains two Boc protecting groups and a hydrophilic PEG spacer. The Boc groups are used to protect the amino groups from undesired reactions during chemical synthesis. They can be selectively removed under mild conditions, revealing the free amino groups for further functionalization or conjugation reactions. The compound can serve as a linker for the conjugation of polymers or macromolecules. After Boc deprotection, the amino groups can be coupled with polymer chains or dendrimers to form conjugates with controlled molecular weight and architecture.
