Description

Bromoacetamido-PEG4-NHS ester has been used for site-specific labeling. The NHS ester reacts with primary amines on lysine residues to form stable amide bonds. The bromoacetamido group can subsequently react with thiol groups on cysteine residues through nucleophilic substitution. Labeling proteins with fluorescent dyes for studying protein dynamics, interactions, and localization within cells. For example, a protein of interest can be tagged with a fluorescent dye, allowing for real-time visualization using fluorescence microscopy.
