Description

Butyne-DOTA (1,4,7,10-Tetraazacyclododecane-1,4,7-tris(acetic acid)-10-(3-butynylacetamide)) is often employed in the synthesis of radiopharmaceuticals for molecular imaging and targeted therapy applications in nuclear medicine. The presence of the butyne group enables the conjugation of targeting molecules, such as peptides, antibodies, or small molecules, to the chelating agent. These conjugates can then be radiolabeled with metal ions, such as copper-64 (^64Cu) or copper-67 (^67Cu), for PET imaging or targeted radiotherapy.
