Description

Cationic Liposome containing DDAB-NBD-DOPE combines the properties of DDAB (dimethyldioctadecylammonium bromide), a cationic lipid, with NBD (7-nitrobenz-2-oxa-1,3-diazole), a fluorescent probe, and DOPE (dioleoylphosphatidylethanolamine), a neutral phospholipid. This combination results in a liposome that can effectively deliver cargo to cells, while also offering the capability to track and study the behavior of the liposomes through fluorescence. NBD is a fluorescent dye that emits bright fluorescence upon excitation. It is often incorporated into liposomes as a fluorescent probe to track and visualize liposome behavior. When conjugated to a lipid such as DDAB-NBD, the dye provides a green fluorescent signal that can be used in microscopy, flow cytometry, or live-cell imaging to study the uptake, trafficking, and distribution of liposomes.
