Description

Chitosan, Cy5.5 Labeled refers to chitosan, a natural polysaccharide derived from chitin, that has been conjugated or labeled with Cy5.5, a near-infrared fluorescent dye. Chitosan is a biocompatible and biodegradable polysaccharide derived from chitin, commonly found in the exoskeletons of crustaceans (such as shrimp and crab) and insects. Cy5.5 is a near-infrared cyanine dye that fluoresces in the near-infrared range when excited by an appropriate light source. Chitosan labeled with Cy5.5 can be used for fluorescence imaging applications. The near-infrared fluorescence allows for deep tissue imaging, making it suitable for in vivo studies.
