Chlorine Functionalized Graphene Quantum Dots (Chlorine-Doped Graphene Quantum Dots) are nanoparticles composed of graphene quantum dots that have been chemically modified with chlorine functional groups. Chlorine functionalization can improve the stability and dispersibility of graphene quantum dots in various solvents, including water. This enhanced stability makes Cl-GQDs suitable for a wide range of applications where stable dispersions are required. In addition, the presence of chlorine functional groups can modify the electronic and optical properties of graphene quantum dots. Chlorine functionalization may lead to changes in the bandgap, photoluminescence properties, and surface chemistry of the GQDs, allowing for tunability of their properties based on the degree of functionalization.
