Description

Cy5.5-PEG-Hydrazide (Cy5.5-PEG-NHNH2) is a reactive near infrared fluorescent dye with a terminal hydrazide group (-NHNH2). Hydrazide is a carbonyl reactive functional group that can react with aldehyde or ketone group to form a stable hydrazone bond. Reaction of hydrazide and carbonyl group allows conjugation of Cy5.5 dye to polysaccharides, glycosylated proteins, antibodies and enzymes. Cy5.5 PEG dye is a bright near infrared fluorescent dye with excitation/emission wavelength at 675 nm/694 nm. PEG linker between Cy5.5 and hydrazide group offers better water solubility, reduced steric hindrance and enhanced stability.
