Description

DBCO-PEG8-MMAF is a synthetic molecule designed for use in the development of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). DBCO is a functional group known for its bioorthogonal click chemistry reaction with molecules containing strained alkynes, such as azides. MMAF is a potent cytotoxic agent derived from the natural product dolastatin 10. It belongs to the auristatin family and functions as a microtubule inhibitor, disrupting microtubule dynamics in cells. The use of bioorthogonal click chemistry, in this case involving DBCO and azide groups, allows for a selective and controlled conjugation of the ADC components.
