1,2-Dilauroyl-sn-Glycero-3-Phosphoethanolamine (DLPE)-Polyethylene Glycol-NHS (DLPE-PEG-NHS) is created by conjugating DLPE with PEG and introducing an NHS functional group. The NHS group can react with primary amines on biomolecules (such as lysine residues in proteins or peptides) to form stable amide bonds. It enables the covalent attachment of biomolecules to the DLPE-PEG-NHS modified surface. In addition, DLPE-PEG-NHS can play a role in drug delivery by allowing the attachment of targeting ligands, therapeutic molecules, or imaging agents to lipid-based carriers.
