Description

DOTA-PEG7-Tz is a multifunctional chemical conjugate that incorporates DOTA, PEG7 (polyethylene glycol with 7 ethylene glycol units), and a tetrazine (Tz) functional group. DOTA-PEG7-Tz can be complexed with radioisotopes (e.g., Ga-68, Lu-177) via DOTA and used in PET or SPECT imaging. The tetrazine functionality allows this radiolabeled compound to react with TCO-modified targeting ligands, such as antibodies, peptides, or small molecules that bind to specific receptors on cancer cells or other disease markers. This approach enables pre-targeted imaging, where the TCO-labeled targeting agent is first administered to localize to the target tissue (e.g., a tumor), and then DOTA-PEG7-Tz is introduced to rapidly bind to the TCO group, forming a stable complex that can be imaged with high specificity.
