DOTAP-based Fluoroliposome-DiI-Azide, Lyophilized Powder allows for high-resolution fluorescence tracking, targeted delivery, and selective functionalization via bioorthogonal click chemistry, enabling precise control over cellular and tissue interactions. DiI is a lipophilic cyanine dye that emits strong fluorescence in the red-orange spectrum (~565 nm), making it a useful tool for tracking liposomal behavior in cells and tissues, particularly when other fluorescent markers are used simultaneously. The azide group enables the liposomes to participate in bioorthogonal reactions, which are important for the selective attachment of ligands, drugs, or other molecules to the liposomal surface or internal cargo.
