Description

DOTAP-based Plain Liposomes, Lyophilized Powder are often employed in research and therapeutic domains for their ability to encapsulate and deliver various bioactive molecules, including nucleic acids, proteins, and small drug molecules. DOTAP contains a glycerol backbone esterified with two long-chain unsaturated fatty acids (oleic acid) and a trimethylammonium-propane head group. The hydrophobic tails form the interior of the bilayer, while the hydrophilic cationic head groups face the aqueous environment.
