Description

DSPC/Chol (55/45, mol/mol) Liposomes, Lyophilized Powder are particularly useful for delivering hydrophobic drugs that cannot be easily solubilized in aqueous solutions. The liposome membrane effectively encapsulates lipophilic drugs, ensuring their stability and controlled release. Moreover, liposomes made from DSPC and cholesterol have been extensively studied for drug delivery to tumors due to their ability to accumulate at tumor sites via the EPR (Enhanced Permeability and Retention) effect. This makes them excellent candidates for delivering chemotherapeutic agents directly to cancer cells, reducing systemic toxicity.
