DSPC:Chol:DSPE-mPEG2000 (65:30:5) Liposomes are lipid vesicles composed of a mixture of three main components: 1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DSPC), cholesterol (Chol), and distearoylphosphatidylethanolamine conjugated with methoxy-polyethylene glycol (DSPE-mPEG2000). These liposomes are extensively employed in cancer therapy for delivering chemotherapy drugs, photodynamic therapy agents, or nucleic acid-based therapeutics to tumor sites. The PEGylation of the liposomes improves their circulation time and accumulation in tumor tissues through the enhanced permeability and retention (EPR) effect.
