Description

1,2-Distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine-N-[propargyl(polyethylene glycol)] (DSPE-PEG-Alkyne, DSPE-PEG-Alk) is lipid-PEG conjugate with terminated alkyne. The alkyne functional group contains a carbon-carbon triple bond (C≡C). It’s used in click chemistry reactions, specifically copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC). Alkyne can react readily with azide in aqueous solution with copper catalyst. DSPE-PEG-Alkyne can be used to prepare PEGylated liposome using Click Chemistry. It offers a versatile platform for bioconjugation through click chemistry reactions, expanding the possibilities for designing functionalized lipid-based systems for various biomedical and nanotechnological applications.
