1,2-Distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine-N-[propargyl(polyethylene glycol)] (DSPE-PEG-Alkyne, DSPE-PEG-Alk) is a compound created by conjugating DSPE with PEG and introducing an alkyne functional group. This alkyne group provides a reactive site for subsequent click chemistry reactions with azide-functionalized molecules. DSPE-PEG-Alkyne has been used to modify lipid-based systems with the alkyne group serving as a reactive point for subsequent click chemistry reactions, and react with azide-functionalized molecules through click chemistry to form a covalent bond known as a triazole linkage.
