1,2-Distearoyl-sn-Glycero-3-Phosphoethanolamine (DSPE)-polyethylene glycol-amine (DSPE-PEG-Amine, DSPE-PEG-NH2) is one of the reactive phospholipid PEG reagents that have a reactive primary amine group on one PEG terminus. DSPE is a saturated 18C phospholipid commonly used in liposome synthesis. PEG conjugated DSPE has both hydrophilicity and hydrophobility property that is useful for drug delivery, gene transfection and biomolecule modification. Amine functionalized DSPE-PEG allows further modification of PEG lipid via its reactive amino group.
