Description

FITC-PEG-SH (Fluorescein-PEG-Thiol, HS-PEG-FITC) is a linear bifunctional PEG reagent with a fluorescein dye. The FITC group in FITC-PEG-SH is usually used for staining and tracer labeling of biomolecules and nanoparticles after PEGylation.The free sulfhydryl groups, SH, and cysteine contained in FITC-PEG-SH can selectively react with maleimide and new metal surfaces (including gold, silver, etc.) to form stable thioether bonds. The thiol group has a high affinity for the gold surface and is widely used for the modification of gold nanoparticles or gold films.
