Description

Fluorescent (DiI) Labeled Exosome-Mimicking Liposomes, Lyophilized Powder are synthetic lipid-based vesicles designed to replicate the size, structure, and function of natural exosomes, but with the addition of DiI (1,1′-dioctadecyl-3,3,3′,3′-tetramethylindocarbocyanine iodide), a lipophilic red fluorescent dye. DiI is incorporated into the lipid bilayer of the liposomes, providing strong, stable red fluorescence that can be used for imaging and tracking purposes. These liposomes can be used in studies exploring how liposomes or exosomes fuse with target cells to release their cargo. This is particularly relevant for optimizing liposomal formulations in drug delivery, where understanding fusion mechanisms can improve targeting efficiency and cargo release.
