Description

Fluorescent (DiR) Immunoliposomes-Glutaryl (Non-PEGylated), Lyophilized Powder are employed to target atherosclerotic plaques, injured endothelial cells, or ischemic tissues. By conjugating molecules like peptides or antibodies specific to vascular markers, they enhance precision in drug delivery to diseased areas. The deep tissue penetration of DiR’s NIR fluorescence allows researchers to visualize the biodistribution of liposomes and assess therapeutic outcomes in cardiovascular conditions such as atherosclerosis, myocardial infarction, or vascular inflammation. In addition, targeting the central nervous system is challenging due to the blood-brain barrier (BBB). These liposomes can be functionalized with ligands like transferrin to enable receptor-mediated transport across the BBB. Once delivered, they can deposit drugs for treating neurodegenerative diseases or brain tumors.
