Description

Fluoroliposome-DiD, Lyophilized Powder is a specific variant of fluoroliposomes that incorporates DiD (1,1′-Dioctadecyl-3,3,3′,3′-Tetramethylindodicarbocyanine, 4-Chlorobenzenesulfonate Salt), into its lipid bilayer. DiD is incorporated into the lipid bilayer of the liposome, allowing the liposome to emit fluorescence at a specific wavelength when excited by light. Its near-infrared properties also provide deeper tissue penetration and reduced background noise compared to visible light fluorescent probes, which is a significant advantage in imaging applications. Fluoroliposome-DiD is particularly valuable for in vivo imaging studies. The near-infrared fluorescence emitted by DiD allows for high-resolution imaging and tracking of liposome distribution, targeting, and drug release in live animals. It can be monitored over time using fluorescence-based imaging systems or optical imaging techniques like fluorescence tomography (FMT).
