Description

Fluoroliposome-DiI, Lyophilized Powder is an excellent tool for tracking, imaging, and studying liposome behavior in biological systems, including drug delivery, cellular uptake, and biodistribution studies. DiI (1,1′-Dioctadecyl-3,3,3′,3′-Tetramethylindocarbocyanine Perchlorate) is commonly used to stain lipid membranes because of its lipophilic nature, which enables it to incorporate efficiently into the lipid bilayer of the liposome without disturbing the structure of the liposome itself. It is detectable using common fluorescence imaging systems, including fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry. Fluoroliposome is composed of fluorinated lipids, which impart enhanced stability and biocompatibility to the liposomal formulation. The fluorine atoms help improve the liposome’s resistance to degradation, prolong its circulation time in vivo, and reduce the potential for immune system recognition and clearance.
