Description

Fmoc-Ala-Pro-OH is a peroxide with an amine and a terminal carboxylic acid. The Fmoc group can be deprotected under alkaline conditions to obtain a free amine, which can be used as a free radical initiator for the synthesis of polymers such as polypropylene. The terminal carboxylic acid can be reacted with primary amine groups in the presence of activators (e.g. EDC, or HATU) to form a stable amide bond.
