Fmoc-Cys(Trt) Low Crosslinked Polystyrene-PEG R PHB Resin is a specialized solid-phase support resin designed for the synthesis of peptides containing cysteine (Cys) residues. Cysteine plays a critical role in peptide and protein structure due to its ability to form disulfide bonds, which are important for protein folding, stability, and function. This resin is functionalized with an Fmoc (9-fluorenylmethoxycarbonyl) protective group on the amino terminus of cysteine and a Trt (trityl) protective group on the thiol group of cysteine’s side chain. The resin also features a low crosslinked polystyrene backbone, polyethylene glycol (PEG) functionalization, and polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) branching, all of which enhance the solubility, swelling, and overall performance of the resin during peptide synthesis.
