Fmoc-Orn(Boc) Low Crosslinked Polystyrene-PEG R PHB Resin uses a low crosslinked polystyrene backbone, which ensures improved swelling and solubility in organic and aqueous solvents. The low crosslinking density of the polystyrene provides better accessibility to reagents, enhances reactant diffusion, and reduces steric hindrance, resulting in more efficient peptide coupling and faster deprotection steps. The tert-butoxycarbonyl (Boc) group is used to protect the side-chain amino group of ornithine. The Boc protection is stable under normal peptide synthesis conditions and provides steric protection for the side chain, preventing premature reactions. The Boc group can be removed under acidic conditions (such as TFA or TFA-based cleavage reagents) once the peptide chain is complete or at a specific stage of synthesis, ensuring that the side-chain amine is unprotected at the desired point.
