Description

Gold Nanorods, Carboxyl Functional can serve as catalysts for various chemical reactions, including organic transformations, hydrogenation, and oxidation reactions. The carboxyl groups can facilitate the immobilization of catalytic species onto the nanorod surface, enhancing catalytic activity and selectivity. In addition, they can be used for photothermal therapy (PTT) of cancer and other diseases. When exposed to near-infrared (NIR) light, the nanorods absorb and convert light energy into heat, inducing localized hyperthermia and selectively destroying targeted cells or tissues.
