Description

H-Val-2-Chlorotrityl Polystyrene Resin is functionalized with a 2-chlorotrityl group, and the first amino acid, valine (Val), is pre-attached. This simplifies the synthesis process by providing a starting point for elongation of the peptide chain. Since valine is often used as a neutral amino acid in many peptides, the resin is suitable for a wide range of peptide sequences. In addition, this resin supports the synthesis of combinatorial peptide libraries, where different combinations of amino acids are incorporated into the peptide chain at each position. The flexibility of this resin allows it to be used in the creation of large libraries where valine is incorporated at the N-terminus, or peptides are synthesized with various amino acids at the first position.
