HBPO-star-PEO-N3 combines the benefits of hyperbranched polymers with linear polymers and reactive azide groups, offering a wide range of applications in fields such as drug delivery, materials science, and bio-conjugation. HBPO is a hyperbranched polymer with a central core and multiple branching points, often derived from polyalcohols (polyols). The HBPO core serves as the central hub of the star-shaped polymer, providing a highly branched, tree-like structure with numerous attachment points for PEO chains and azide groups. PEO, also known as polyethylene glycol (PEG), is a flexible, hydrophilic polymer that is biocompatible and often used in biomedical applications. The PEO arms extend outward from the HBPO core, providing steric protection, water solubility, and preventing protein adsorption.
