Hydroxytrityl PEG-Polystyrene Resin is commonly employed in solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS). Its structure allows for the easy attachment of amino acids via their carboxyl groups, facilitating the sequential addition of protected amino acids to build peptides. HT-PEG-PS is also used in the solid-phase synthesis of oligonucleotides, where nucleosides are attached to the resin for sequential phosphoramidite coupling.
