Description

Lead Sulfide Quantum Dots (PbS QDs) exhibit size-dependent optical properties. Their bandgap, which determines the energy required for electrons to transition from the valence band to the conduction band, varies with the size of the nanocrystals. Smaller PbS quantum dots have a larger bandgap and emit shorter-wavelength light, while larger quantum dots have a smaller bandgap and emit longer-wavelength light. This tunability allows for applications across a wide range of wavelengths, including the visible and infrared (IR) spectra.
