Description

Linear-Azo-PEO-b-PS-N3 is a block copolymer that features a linear arrangement of an azo group, polyethylene oxide (PEO), and polystyrene (PS) with an azide functional group. The azo group can undergo reversible photoisomerization upon exposure to light, leading to changes in the polymer’s physical properties. This can be used to create smart materials that respond to light stimuli. The PEO and PS blocks can form micelles in aqueous solutions, with PEO forming the outer hydrophilic shell and PS forming the inner hydrophobic core.
