Description

Mal-NH-PEG-PLGA (Maleimide-NH-PEG-Poly(lactic-co-glycoclic acid)) can be employed for surface modification of materials or medical devices. The maleimide groups can react with thiol-functionalized surfaces, allowing for the attachment of the copolymer and potentially influencing the material’s properties. Additionally, PLGA is well-known for its use in drug delivery systems. The addition of PEG, especially when functionalized with maleimide groups, can enhance the biocompatibility and stability of the nanoparticles formed from PLGA, as well as allow for targeted drug delivery through bioconjugation.
