Description

mPEG-b-PLA-N3 refers to a type of block copolymer composed of methoxy poly(ethylene glycol) (mPEG) and poly(lactic acid) (PLA) with an azide functional group. The hydrophilic PEG block improves solubility and circulation time in the bloodstream, while the PLA block can be used to encapsulate drugs. The azide group allows for further functionalization or conjugation to targeting ligands or drugs through click chemistry. Moreover, the mPEG and PLA blocks can self-assemble into micelles in aqueous solutions, which can be used for drug delivery or imaging applications.
