Description

N3-PEG-Biotin (Azide-PEG-Biotin / N3-PEG-BIO) can be used to immobilize target proteins or nucleic acids on streptavidin or avidin-coated beads or surfaces. This allows for the selective purification of biotinylated molecules from complex mixtures, such as cell lysates or serum, via affinity chromatography. Besides, the bioorthogonal nature of the azide-alkyne reaction allows for site-specific modification of biomolecules without interfering with their native structure or function. This is particularly useful for creating homogeneous bioconjugates with precise control over the site of modification.
