Nanocellulose Aerogels (Nanocellulose-Based Aerogels, Nano Cellulose Aerogels) are lightweight, porous materials with good chemical compatibility, low density, high mechanical properties and low thermal conductivity. These aerogels are typically prepared through the gelation of nanocellulose suspensions followed by supercritical drying, resulting in a highly porous structure with interconnected pores. Nanocellulose Aerogels have been widely used for adsorption and environment protection, energy storage, thermal insulation, EMI shielding, and sensors. Additionaly, they can be used as drug carriers and bioscaffolds in biomedical applications.
