Negatively PS-Based Fluorescent Liposome, NBD lipid (headgroup) Labeled refers to liposomes primarily composed of negatively charged lipids, with phosphatidylserine (PS) as the primary lipid component. The liposomes have been labeled with the fluorescent compound NBD (4-Nitrobenzoxadiazole) on the headgroups of the lipids. NBD is a green-fluorescent dye used in biological imaging. When labeled on the headgroups of lipids, it is employed to study membrane dynamics, interactions, and fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) in lipid bilayers.
