Description

PAMAM/pEGFP-N3 can be used to enhance gene delivery, tracking, and imaging capabilities, as well as explore new approaches in bioorthogonal chemistry and cellular studies. PAMAM dendrimers are known for their ability to interact with cell membranes and facilitate the uptake of nucleic acids. By complexing with pEGFP-N3, PAMAM dendrimers can enhance the delivery of the plasmid into cells. This is especially valuable in gene therapy where the goal is to introduce or modify genes within target cells. The EGFP encoded by pEGFP-N3 emits green fluorescence upon excitation with UV or blue light. This property is utilized for real-time imaging of gene expression in living cells or tissues. The azide group in pEGFP-N3 allows for bioorthogonal click chemistry, which involves reactions that do not interfere with biological processes. This enables the specific conjugation of the plasmid with other molecules or probes.
