PDLLA-PEG-ALK (Poly(D,L-lactide)-b-poly(ethylene glycol)-alkyne) is extensively used as carriers for controlled drug delivery. The hydrophilic PEG component enhances solubility and biocompatibility, while the biodegradable PDLLA component enables sustained release of encapsulated drugs.
