Description

PDLLA-PEG-N3 (Poly(D,L-lactide)-b-poly(ethylene glycol)-azide) is useful for the drug delivery system. PDLLA is a biodegradable polymer commonly used in drug delivery systems due to its biocompatibility and tunable degradation rate. PEGylation enhances the circulation time of drug-loaded nanoparticles by reducing their recognition by the immune system and minimizing clearance by the reticuloendothelial system. The azide group can be used for further functionalization, allowing for the conjugation of targeting ligands or therapeutic molecules via click chemistry reactions.
