Description

PDLLA-PEG-NH2 (Poly(D,L-lactide)-block-poly(ethylene glycol)-Amine) is widely used as a carrier for controlled drug delivery systems. Its amphiphilic nature allows for the encapsulation of hydrophobic drugs within the PDLLA core and the solubilization of hydrophilic drugs in the PEG corona. The amino group at the end of the copolymer chain can be further functionalized to introduce targeting ligands or to conjugate therapeutic molecules, enhancing the specificity and efficacy of drug delivery.
